Sophie joined GPLUS in May 2018 where she advises clients on transport and trade issues. A German national, she had her first experience of Brussels in 2008 when she was an intern in the Representation of Baden-Württemberg to the EU. During her studies, she worked for a large German car manufacturer. She completed a Schuman traineeship in the European Parliament’s Committee on International Trade, where she worked on trade relations with Canada, Singapore and the United States. More recently, she worked for a Brussels-based civil society organisation that campaigns for green mobility. Among others, she worked on making trade more sustainable and on stakeholder coalition building.
Sophie has a bachelor in European Studies and a master in Globalisation and Law from Maastricht University. She speaks German and English fluently, has working knowledge of Dutch and French and is working on improving her Spanish.
