Meike joined GPLUS in September 2018 where she advises clients on issues related to Brexit, fisheries, healthcare, and telecommunications.
Prior to working for GPLUS, Meike worked at the European External Action Service – Syria Conference Team and interned at the Cabinet of the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy / Vice-President of the Commission Frederica Mogherini. She started her career with internships at the Dutch Embassy in Paris and at the European affairs office of a multinational healthcare company in Brussels.
Meike holds a master’s degree in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies from the College of Europe, Bruges campus as well as a master’s degree in International Political Economy from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. During her studies she focused on the role of the EU as a foreign policy actor, external aspects of internal EU policies, public diplomacy as well as geopolitics of oil and gas markets.
A German native, she speaks English and Dutch fluently and is working on improving her French and Spanish.
