Mark leads GPLUS Berlin office. He is an expert in providing political and strategic communication in Brussels, EU capitals, and in Washington DC. He has worked with national and regional governments, international organisations, blue chip companies, as well as foundations and NGOs in Europe, the US, and the MENA region in fields ranging from foreign and security policy to energy, trade, and conflict resolution. Throughout his career Mark has been engaged in political advocacy, policy analysis, negotiation and coordination, and message development.
Before joining GPLUS, Mark worked for the German Marshall Fund of the United States, first overseeing the creation of the Brussels Forum international policy summit and then as Managing Director for the European Offices from Washington DC.
Prior to that he held the position of Deputy Director of the European Office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Brussels where he worked extensively on EU and NATO Enlargement, European foreign and security policy, as well as development cooperation issues.
Mark served with the German Air Force and holds a degree in Political Science from Hamburg University. He speaks English and German fluently, and works in French.
