James joined the GPLUS London office in September 2014, bringing with him both agency and in-house communications and public affairs experience.
Immediately prior to joining James was working at Gazprom Marketing & Trading in London. In a role that spanned both communications and regulatory issues, James worked to deliver on a number of global initiatives for the wider Gazprom Group, such as sponsorship activities and the development of both external and internal messaging. He also led on the delivery of a number of niche projects, including a new global company intranet.
James has an acute working knowledge of the British political landscape, having spent time in the External Affairs team at mental health charity ‘Turning Point’ and at London-based public affairs agency Hanover Communications. In both roles, James focused predominantly on research, drafting and the development of public affairs strategies.
A British national, James holds a History degree from the University of Durham where he specialised in modern British and European History. James is also currently working towards accreditation with the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) in London.
