Daniel joined g+ europe in 2011 to establish the company’s office in Berlin. His main areas of expertise are public diplomacy, political communications and public affairs. The sectors he knows best are energy, technology and consumer protection.

Prior to joining g+ Daniel worked as Associate Director at the Berlin-based public affairs consultancy dimap communications, where he led the company's public diplomacy team. He has worked for governments from Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Arab world and has published regularly on public diplomacy. Daniel has also advised clients on internet governance, regulatory reform of the ICT sector and the proposed switch away from nuclear power. Earlier in his career Daniel worked in the German Bundestag on international trade, and for a national campaign aimed at improving the situation of working parents run by the German Federal Ministry of Families. At the Bertelsmann Foundation, Germany’s largest privately funded think tank, he supported a project on freedom of information and transparency in government.

Daniel is personally interested in how the internet affects political communications. In 2010, he co-published a chapter on digital public affairs strategies in an edited volume published by Helios Media. He is also a regular commentator on trends which affect political communications.

Daniel holds a Master in Public Administration and Public Policy from the University of York (UK) and a Bachelor in political science and history from the University of Bochum (Germany). He is the founder and publisher of “Think Tank Directory Deutschland”, an online directory of German think tanks.
